Live music by Manicato

Born in 2004, Manicato is the part of a San Francisco musicians’ collective known as the Pink Palace. The word manicato (a bold, valiant person with a good heart) comes from the indigenous Puerto Rico tribe known as the Tainos. Manicato’s socially conscious grooves combine salsa, cumbia, timba, rock, reggae, bomba, plena, hip-hop, funk, and everything in between. This is a fresh new sound in one of the oldest of languages—the universal language of music.
